DEFINITIONS OF ACTIVITIES LISTED ABOVE:

MAINSTAGE – Large budget shows performed at the Monson Memorial Hall from 2007-2008 and then at the Academy of Music Theatre in Northampton, MA from 2008 until now.

KIDS TOUR – Professional Musical Theatre workshop for kids ages 7-18.  This is an audition-only group that rehearses afterschool two days a week for 2.5 hours for approximately 2.5 months.  The program culminates into a weekday tour to local schools, in which participants perform for their peers and also a weekend public shows for friends, family, and the community.

CENTERSTAGE PLUS - Acting workshop for students ages 13-18.   Students delve deeper in stage voice and movement, posturing, improvisation, and theatre etiquette. The program culminates in the performance of a one-act play in which friends and family are encouraged to attend. Students will learn the importance of teamwork, diligence, and focus, while gaining self-confidence through success. CenterStage Plus focuses more on acting and character development rather than music and dance and serves as a stepping-stone for younger performers who need more of a challenge.

IMAGINEERING – Theatre basics workshop for kids ages 5 and 6. Students meet one day a week for 1.5 hours for approximately 2.5 months.  This program culminates into a weekend public show for friends, family, and the community.

G.R.I.P. – Improvisational theatre workshop for ages 10-adult.  Students meet twice a week for two hours for 1.5 months. The program ends with an interactive public performance for friends, family, and the community.

HIGH SCHOOL & COLLEGE INTERSHIPS – are arranged through school guidance departments, school-to-work-based learning programs, and college advisosrs.  Students can earn educational credits by working with Greene Room Productions.  June 2011 Greene Room Productions was recognized by River East School To Career, a workbased-learning program, as an outstanding mentor for interns.

MUST-SEE – Making Connections Through Theatre & Literature.  Students read the book coinciding with a GRP MainStage production, submit a creative writing sample or work of art demonstrating their knowledge of the subject and in return receive a complimentary ticket to see the live performance.
